Neutrino ("Neutrino", "we", "us") is an AI-assisted technical interview platform at neutrino.sh. Hiring teams create assessments; candidates complete them on their own machines. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the neutrino.sh website, the recruiter platform, and the candidate terminal app.

01

Information we collect from hiring teams

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (a password, or your Google profile if you sign in with Google). When you use the platform we store your team name, member list, invitations you send (including invitee email addresses), the positions and assessment content you create, and repositories you choose to import through the GitHub integration.

02

Information we collect from candidates

Candidates are identified by the name and, optionally, email address the hiring team enters. While an assessment session is open, the candidate terminal app captures:

  • files the candidate creates or edits inside the workspace directory they choose for the assessment
  • the candidate's interactions with supported AI coding tools (such as Claude Code and Codex CLI) during the session — prompts, responses, and tool activity
  • answers to follow-up questions and the final submission
  • basic session telemetry: connection heartbeats, window focus state, operating system and architecture, and the workspace path

This capture is disclosed to the candidate inside the app before the assessment begins, and stops when the session ends or the app is closed. We also process IP addresses transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

03

What we never collect

  • clipboard contents
  • screen recordings or screenshots
  • keystrokes outside the assessment workspace
  • files outside the workspace directory the candidate chooses
  • anything after the assessment session is closed

04

Google user data

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We use this information solely to create and authenticate your Neutrino account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below acting on our behalf.

Neutrino's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

05

How we use information

We use the information above to operate the service: running assessment sessions, showing hiring teams live and recorded session replays, generating AI-assisted scoring against the rubric the hiring team defines, sending transactional email (invitations and account messages), and keeping the service secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

06

How information is shared

Candidate session data is visible to the hiring team that created the assessment. Beyond that, we share data only with the service providers we use to run Neutrino:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Anthropic — AI scoring of submissions against the assessment rubric
  • GitHub — repository import, when a team connects the integration
  • Google — sign-in, when chosen
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Cloud hosting providers — running our infrastructure

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Neutrino, our users, or others.

07

Retention and deletion

We keep data for as long as the owning team's account is active. Deleting a position removes its candidate data; deleting a team removes the team's data. Candidates may request access to or deletion of their assessment data by contacting us or the hiring team they interviewed with. To exercise any data request, email jeff@neutrino.sh.

08

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and credential-scoped, integration secrets are stored encrypted, and candidate session access is limited to members of the owning team.

09

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: authentication session cookies and short-lived cookies that secure flows like connecting GitHub. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10

Children

Neutrino is a hiring tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

11

Changes and contact

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above; material changes will be communicated to account owners. Questions? Email jeff@neutrino.sh.
